Evaluation of Web Graphics
On this task, I decided to take a closer look at cnn.com.
cnn.com includes visuals on its site to explain things better - also making it easier to follow along through images that show what’s happening.
Copyright Scenario
1. Tiny Thompson needs pics for his school project - a page about himself. He hunts online, lands on shots of snowboarders mid-air. The site says no copying, but he grabs some anyway. Later, he adds a note saying where they’re from. Slipping stuff like that onto your own site - does that fly legally? Copyright rules usually say nah unless it’s fair use or permission was granted.
Graphic File Types
Common formats used for web images include:
- JPG: Best for photos with lots of colors.
- PNG: Used for icons and images needing clear backgrounds.
- GIF: Good for simple moving pictures or animations.
